A 90-year-old woman living in Hubei province, China, was shocked to discover that the tool she had been using as a hammer to crack nuts and drive nails for 20 years was actually a hand grenade from the Vietnam War. An 90-year-old woman living in China found an interesting metal object 20 years ago while working on a farm. Thinking that she had found a hammer, the elderly woman used the piece for cracking nuts and hammering nails at home. However, she was shocked when the workers who came to demolish her house on June 23, 2024, realized the situation.

When the workers realized that the tool the woman had been using as a hammer for 20 years was actually a hand grenade, they immediately informed the authorities. Huangbao Police Station took action upon receiving the report and sent police officers and a bomb disposal team to the scene. In a statement made by the police, it was said, "After taking possession of the hand grenade, we asked the experts to dispose of it."
