An 90-year-old woman living in China found an interesting metal object 20 years ago while working on a farm. Thinking that she had found a hammer, the elderly woman used the piece for cracking nuts and hammering nails at home. However, she was shocked when the workers who came to demolish her house on June 23, 2024, realized the situation. REPORT THAT PROMPTED THE POLICE TO TAKE ACTIONWhen the workers realized that the tool the woman had been using as a hammer for 20 years was actually a hand grenade, they immediately informed the authorities. Huangbao Police Station took action upon receiving the report and sent police officers and a bomb disposal team to the scene. In a statement made by the police, it was said, "After taking possession of the hand grenade, we asked the experts to dispose of it." HOW IT DIDN'T EXPLODE FOR 20 YEARS IS A MYSTERYThe hand grenade was identified by the protective metal cover on its wooden handle, and it was revealed to be a Type 67 hand grenade made in China during the Vietnam War years. While the bomb was being disposed of by the bomb squad, the fact that it hadn't exploded for over twenty years sparked speculation on the internet.
