The US Department of Commerce has released the foreign trade data for June. Market expectations were for a trade deficit of $72.5 billion during this period, but the country's trade deficit decreased by 2.5% to $73.1 billion compared to the previous month. Calculations showed that the US trade deficit was $75 billion. The country's exports reached $265.7 billion in June, recording the highest level in 4 months with a 1.5% increase. Imports also increased by 0.6% to $339 billion, reaching the highest level since June 2022. DECREASE AGAINST CHINAThe trade deficit with China, with whom the US has sensitive relations, decreased during the mentioned period. The country's trade deficit with China decreased by 6.7% to $22.3 billion in June compared to the previous month. The country had a trade surplus with Singapore in May, but had a deficit of $400 million in June.
