Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who provided information about the Samsun-Trabzon-Sarp high-speed railway project, stated, "We will connect all our cities, including Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin, starting from Samsun. It will also be integrated with the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Çorum-Samsun High-Speed Train Line project, for which we have started construction works with the Kırıkkale-Çorum phase. Thus, when the high-speed train departs from Ankara, it will reach Trabzon in 4.5 hours."
Speaking at the "Homeowner Turkey" Lottery Draw Ceremony held within the scope of the "Century's Housing Project" 500 Thousand Social Housing campaign in Trabzon, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made important statements.

Emphasizing that the ministry has made an investment of 260 billion liras in Trabzon's transportation and communication infrastructure, Minister Uraloğlu also provided information about the Samsun-Trabzon-Sarp high-speed train railway project. Minister Uraloğlu stated, "With the Samsun-Trabzon-Sarp high-speed train railway project, we will connect all our cities, namely Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin, starting from Samsun." He noted that this line will be integrated with the Ankara-Kırıkkale Çorum-Samsun High-Speed Train Line project, which began construction works with the Kırıkkale-Çorum section in recent months.
"IT WILL TAKE 4.5 HOURS TO GET FROM ANKARA TO TRABZON"
Minister Uraloğlu stated: "Thus, when the high-speed train departs from Ankara, it will arrive in Trabzon in 4.5 hours. We will also bring to our city an approximately 32-kilometer urban rail system that includes 31 stations such as City Hospital, Akyazı Stadium, Square, Bus Station, University, and Airport, extending from Akçaabat to Yomra center."
32 KILOMETER AND 31 STATION SYSTEM FOR TRABZON
Minister Uraloğlu mentioned that they will also provide Trabzon with an approximately 32-kilometer urban rail system that includes 31 stations such as City Hospital, Akyazı Stadium, Square, Bus Station, University, and Airport, extending from Akçaabat to Yomra center. Minister Uraloğlu stated that the route between Akyazı and Trabzon Airport has also been included in the investment program with the approval of the President. Uraloğlu said, "God willing, we plan to hold the construction tender within the first quarter of this year and start the works."
"WE WILL BUILD OUR NEW AIRPORT"
Regarding Trabzon Airport, Minister Uraloğlu said: "We designed it to accommodate large-bodied aircraft with a terminal building with a capacity of 10 million passengers and a 3,000-meter runway. Again, as part of our new project, we will build our new airport on a fill area of 3 million square meters, slightly north of the existing runway. We have included this in the investment program, held the tender, and completed the land delivery. We will soon lay the foundation and start construction works."
