It has emerged that Burak Karagöz, the driver who lost his life when a TIR loaded with lubricating oil overturned into a ditch and caught fire in Aksaray, had gone live on social media about 1 hour before the accident and sang along to the song 'If God Wills'.
It was revealed that driver Burak Karagöz (30), who lost his life when a truck loaded with mineral oil overturned and caught fire in Aksaray, had been broadcasting live on his social media account about 1 hour before the accident. In the recording, Karagöz was seen singing along to the song 'If God Wills Not'.
TRUCK OVERTURNED INTO DITCH
The accident occurred yesterday at around 12:30 near the Derinkuyu toll booths on the Ankara-Niğde Highway. The truck with license plate 14 KL 531, driven by Burak Karagöz, who was carrying mineral oil from İzmit to Adana, went out of the driver's control and overturned into a ditch. Due to the impact of the accident, the mineral oil loaded in the trailer caught fire. Upon notification, gendarmerie, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters intervened in the flames and extinguished the fire. Teams determined that driver Karagöz had lost his life in the fire. His body, who was learned to be single, was taken to his hometown of Derince district in Kocaeli for burial after the autopsy.
