In Esenyurt, Istanbul, a scuffle broke out between the crowd gathered to protest the trusteeship decisions against municipalities and the police. The police intervened against the group that attempted to make terrorist propaganda by chanting slogans like "Kurdistan." Many people were detained during the incidents.
Last week, following the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer in a terrorism investigation and the appointment of a trustee in his place, new trustee news emerged. Trustees were appointed to the municipalities of Mardin, Batman, and Şanlıurfa Halfeti, terminating the mayors' duties.
INCIDENT IN ESENYURT AT NIGHT
Protests were held in many provinces due to the trustee decisions. One of the main focal points of the protests was Esenyurt. A large group, mostly consisting of DEM Party members, gathered in Esenyurt and took to the streets.

After a while, the protesters chanted slogans of "Kurdistan." The police intervened with the group, not allowing terrorism propaganda. While there were occasional scuffles between the protesters and the police, it was reported that there were arrests.
