Grandmother Zeliha Taşkın, who lost her two grandsons named Yusuf Ali Taşkın and Yusuf Ömer Taşkın in a fire in the Edremit district of Balıkesir, recounted the horrifying moments she experienced. The incident occurred around 01:03 at night in the two-story building where father C.T. resides in the rural Dereli neighborhood. Upon notification, teams from the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. The teams, which arrived at the fire site, located 7 kilometers from the city center, at 01:22, determined that the fire on the second floor was intense. "THEY HAD EMBRACED EACH OTHER"Grandmother Zeliha Taşkın, who tried to intervene in the fire to save her grandsons, tearfully recounted those moments: "They tried to prevent me from going inside. I said, 'Where are the children?' They said, 'They are inside.' I said, 'Let me pass through here.' When they held me, they pushed me down. When I fell down, I shouted and came back. I screamed, 'The house is burning, the children are burning!' I called Coşkun. They didn't let me inside. They had embraced each other inside... They were found like that, those who entered saw them that way.
