The US military continues to target boats identified as smuggling drugs in the Caribbean Sea and Eastern Pacific. In a statement from the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), it was reported that the joint task force conducting Operation Southern Spear, under the direction of SOUTHCOM Commander General Francis L. Donovan, carried out an attack on another boat belonging to organizations designated as "terrorist organizations." Emphasizing that intelligence obtained confirmed the targeted boat was carrying drugs on a known smuggling route in the Eastern Pacific, the statement said, "In this attack, 3 male narco-terrorists were killed, and no US personnel were harmed during the operation."
