As tensions in the Middle East escalated, the United Kingdom decided to evacuate its citizens from Lebanon. Prime Minister Starmer stated that the Israel-Hezbollah conflict has brought the region to the brink of war. 700 soldiers will be deployed to Cyprus, and Royal Navy ships, aircraft, and helicopters will be reinforced in the area. Defense Secretary Healey urged citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.

The United Kingdom has taken action to evacuate its citizens from Lebanon amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Prime Minister Keir Starmer warned that the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has brought the region to the brink of war, while the government has decided to send troops to Cyprus.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defence, 700 soldiers will be deployed to Cyprus. This move will strengthen the UK's presence in the region, which already includes two Royal Navy ships, various aircraft, and transport helicopters. The military units will play a critical role in a potential evacuation operation.

Defence Minister John Healey emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating: "The events of recent days and even hours have highlighted how sensitive and volatile the situation in the region is. Therefore, our message to UK citizens is clear: Leave Lebanon without delay."

Government officials have stated that they will mobilize all resources to ensure the safe departure of citizens from Lebanon. The evacuation plans foresee a comprehensive logistical operation involving sea and air routes. Bases in Cyprus will be used as the hub for this operation.

Meanwhile, other countries in the region have also begun to take similar measures. The international community is intensifying diplomatic efforts to prevent the conflict from spreading more widely, while the safety of civilians remains the top priority.
