The murder committed in Aydın's Buharkent district in 2005, which had remained unsolved for years, was clarified just days before the statute of limitations expired, as part of the investigation reopened by JASAT detectives.
The murder incident that occurred on July 7, 2005, in the Üç Eylül neighborhood of Buharkent district in Aydın was solved 21 years later.
KILLED 21 YEARS AGO
According to the information obtained, a person named H.K. was shot and killed by a person named V.D., and the investigation into the incident remained unsolved because the person who helped V.D. by taking him to the scene on a motorcycle could not be identified.
MURDER SOLVED DAYS BEFORE THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS
After the passing years, the case was reopened in coordination with the Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command JASAT detectives and the Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Unsolved Murders Bureau. As part of the meticulously conducted work, all details of the incident were re-examined, witness statements and evidence were evaluated. As a result of the comprehensive investigations, it was determined that the person who assisted V.D. in the incident was S.D.
While necessary legal actions were taken against the suspect, he was arrested by the court he was brought before and sent to prison. Thus, the murder case, which had been recorded as unsolved since 2005, was clarified without falling under the statute of limitations.
