In the local elections on March 31, a lien was placed on the Üsküdar Municipality, where Sinem Dedetaş took the mayoral seat. In a statement made by the municipality regarding the issue, the claims of the lien were confirmed, and it was stated that the debts were from previous periods.

The former mayor of Üsküdar, Hilmi Türkmen's statement made via social media has caused a significant stir in the public. Türkmen claimed that a lien has been placed on the Üsküdar Municipality, that properties belonging to the municipality have been put up for sale online, that employee salaries have been delayed, and even that a lien has been applied to the mayor's office.

MUNICIPALITY CONFIRMED LIEN ALLEGATIONS

Following Hilmi Türkmen's statements, attention turned to the Üsküdar Municipality. In a statement made by the municipality, it was confirmed that lien officers had come to the institution, but it was stated that the situation stemmed from a debt from a previous period. According to the municipality, the debt amounts to 5 million 400 thousand TL, and an agreement has been reached regarding payment as a result of discussions with the relevant company.
