New details have emerged in the investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır. According to information obtained by Milliyet Newspaper from the investigating authorities, it was determined that in a meeting held by the family elders immediately after Narin went missing, instructions were given to all family members to lie and mislead the search efforts. It was also claimed that in the latest family meeting, Nevzat Bahtiyar was decided as the suspect. SILENCE WAS REQUESTEDIt was learned that in the family meeting organized by Narin's great uncle on the day she went missing, instructions were given to all family members, from children to adults, to make false and misleading reports. It was even revealed that the uncle Salim Güran, who actively participated in the search efforts, and other siblings were assigned to direct these efforts. In the second family meeting held after Narin's lifeless body was found, the great uncle requested all family members and villagers to remain silent and cover up the incident. FAMILY'S "NEVZAT" DECISION IN THE THIRD MEETINGIn his initial statement, the uncle Salim Güran claimed that he didn't know anything about the incident. However, in his latest statement, he pointed to Nevzat Bahtiyar as the suspect, just like other family members. It was alleged that the investigating authorities obtained information that Salim Güran gave this statement based on the final decision made in the third family meeting held after Narin went missing. WHAT HAPPENED?A search operation was initiated for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe Neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır. Salim Güran, the headman of Tavşantepe Neighborhood and also Narin Güran's uncle, was arrested by the duty magistrate's court on September 2 as part of the investigation conducted by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu announced that the missing Narin Güran was found dead by the Eğertutmaz Stream with her clothes hidden in a sack and covered with stones. As part of the investigation, 24 people, including Narin Güran's mother, father, two brothers, four uncles, and the wife of the arrested uncle S.G., were taken into custody.
