A suspect attacked a police officer with a knife on Istiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu. It has been reported that the officer, who was taken to the hospital, is still receiving treatment, while a video previously recorded by the attacker has circulated.
At around 11:00 AM in Istanbul, an unidentified individual slowly approached a police officer standing on Istiklal Street in Beyoğlu and attacked him with a knife. The assailant fled the scene after the attack.

The injured police officer was taken to the hospital by ambulance by the medical teams dispatched to the scene, while the assailant was quickly apprehended. As the echoes of the shocking incident continue, a video recorded by the assailant who stabbed the police officer has surfaced.
"I WANT TO FIGHT MAN TO MAN"
In the video, the assailant recounts an altercation he had with the police, stating, "I invite that police officer here for a duel. They were armed and in a crowd there. I couldn't say anything. But I want to fight man to man, one on one."
