While no bite marks were found on his body during examinations, the CCHF virus was detected in his blood. The number of deaths due to the virus in the city this year has risen to 3.
R.D. (55), married and father of four children, residing in Adamlıköyü district of Sivas's Hafik, applied to Hafik State Hospital five days ago with complaints of high fever.
NO BITE, BUT VIRUS PRESENT
Demir was referred to Sivas Cumhuriyet University Hospital with suspicion of CCHF virus. Despite all interventions, Demir could not be saved and passed away today. Although no tick or tick bite was found on R.D.'s body during examination, the CCHF virus was detected in his blood.
