In Bursa, Adalet Uzunoğlu, who is on trial for allegedly killing her retired police officer husband Ali Fuat Uzunoğlu, cutting his body into 15 pieces, and throwing them into different garbage containers, made a chilling statement when she faced the judge for the first time. When the court president asked, 'How did you cut him, weren't you struggling?', the defendant's reply, 'It was very easy because I cut the sacrifice at home,' sent a cold shock through the courtroom.

Adalet Uzunoğlu (69), a mother of three, appeared before a judge for the first time after killing her husband, retired police officer Ali Fuat Uzunoğlu (77), in Bursa, dismembering his body into 15 pieces and discarding them in different trash bins.

DESCRIBES THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT

The first hearing of the case, held at the Bursa 4th Heavy Penal Court, was attended by the detained defendant Adalet Uzunoğlu and the lawyers of both parties. The defendant denied the allegations of killing her retired police officer husband, Ali Fuat Uzunoğlu, claiming she found him motionless on the stairs of their home in the morning. She stated that she panicked and, fearing she would be suspected, dismembered the body using an axe and a knife, placed the pieces in bags, and threw them into different garbage containers.

BLOOD-CURDLING RESPONSE TO 'HOW DID YOU CUT?'

When the court president asked, "The man was dead, why didn't you inform anyone, why did you cut him up?" the defendant replied, "I was very scared. He mistreated me for years. I didn't inform anyone because they would blame me." The most striking moment in the hearing occurred when the court president asked, "How did you cut him up, weren't you struggling?" The defendant said, "Since I used to slaughter the sacrifice at home, it was very easy; it wasn't difficult."

"A DEMON ENTERED MY MIND"

When the court panel said, "You could have said he fell on his own," the defendant continued her defense, stating, "That's it, a demon entered my mind. That devil, you know, I was destined to see this place. I endured 40-50 years, and I was meant to see this place."

The defendant, requesting her release, said, "House arrest would be better. There's a lot of smoking in prison; I can't breathe."
