A woman accused of murdering her 3-year-old daughter in Australia died two days after being found unconscious in her prison cell.
SHE WAS FOUND UNCONSCIOUS IN HER CELL
Lauren Flanigan was arrested last Tuesday for allegedly stabbing her daughter to death at a home in Moore Park Beach, located 300 kilometers north of Brisbane in Queensland. The 32-year-old Flanigan was found unconscious in her cell at the Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre on Friday and was taken to the hospital due to her critical condition.
SHE WAS HELD IN A SPECIAL CRISIS SUPPORT UNIT
On Monday, the Queensland Police Service announced that Flanigan passed away on Sunday night. Flanigan is expected to appear in court in July, but she had not commented on whether she would plead guilty to the murder charge. According to a report by News Corp Australia, Flanigan was being held in a special crisis support unit for high-risk detainees.
