FLAMES QUICKLY ENGULFED THE APARTMENT
The fire occurred around 2:00 AM in a site located in Koza Neighborhood, Esenyurt. For an unknown reason, the fire that broke out on the 8th floor of the 11-story building quickly engulfed the entire apartment. Upon seeing the fire, the residents of the site reported it, and police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
JUMPING MOMENT CAPTURED ON CAMERA
The woman named E.D. (37), who lived alone in the burning apartment, jumped down from the 8th floor in a panic. The woman fell onto the air mattress deployed by the fire department and was seriously injured. After the first intervention by the medical teams at the scene, the seriously injured woman was taken by ambulance to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital. The moment the woman jumped down was captured by a citizen's mobile phone camera.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
Thanks to the intense intervention of the fire department, the fire was brought under control and extinguished before it spread to the adjacent apartments. The police teams have initiated an investigation regarding the fire.
