"YELLOW ALERT" WARNING CONTINUES

Following the recent rains in Bulgaria, the flow rates of the rivers in Edirne have started to increase. The flow rate measured at the Meriç River yesterday was 869 cubic meters/second, and today at the 12:00 measurement, it was 849 cubic meters/second. The flow rate of the Tunca River, which was 111 cubic meters/second yesterday, was measured at 103 cubic meters/second today. The 'orange alert' warning issued for the Tunca River on Friday was downgraded to a yellow alert as the water level decreased, while the 'yellow alert' warning for the Meriç River continued.

POLICE TEAMS TOOK MEASURES ON BRIDGES

Due to the ongoing flood risk in the Sarayiçi area, where the historic Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling is held, entries were closed on Friday. While the entry ban to the area continues today, police teams have taken precautions on the bridges where transportation is provided.
