The YKS 2025 preference process ends today at 23:59. ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy issued a "last day" warning to candidates, stating, "I remind you to complete your preference procedures and wish that the results will be beneficial for you, your families, and our country."
After the announcement of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) results on July 19, the preference process for university candidates began on August 1. The YKS preference process ends today (August 13) at 23:59.
Preference transactions are made through the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center's (ÖSYM) website "ais.osym.gov.tr". Candidates must make their preferences in accordance with the 2025-YKS Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide.
ÖSYM PRESIDENT'S "LAST DAY" WARNING
ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy made a post on social media due to the last day of university preferences. Ersoy stated, "Dear brothers and sisters, the placement process for higher education programs according to the 2025-YKS results will end today at 23:59. I remind you to complete your preference transactions and wish that the results will be beneficial for you, your families, and our country."
A total of 2 million 560 thousand 649 candidates applied for the 2025-YKS held on June 21 and 22, and 2 million 351 thousand 641 candidates participated in the first session, the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT).
RESULTS ON AUGUST 25
The YKS preference (placement) results are expected to be announced by Monday, August 25, at the latest.
HOW TO QUERY UNIVERSITY PREFERENCE RESULTS?
After the announcement from ÖSYM stating "YKS preference results have been announced," candidates will access the query screen at "sonuc.osym.gov.tr".
The query process will be carried out with the Turkish Republic identification number and candidate passwords. Candidates who forget their passwords can log into the system using the "I forgot my password" option from ÖSYM or the "e-Government login" option.
On the YKS preference results screen, candidates will be able to view information such as the university they were placed in, the department, the score type, and the preference ranking.
A CALENDAR FOR UNIVERSITY REGISTRATIONS WILL BE PUBLISHED
After the placement results are shared, candidates who have the right to register at the university will register with the required documents on the specified dates. University registrations can be done online via e-Government or face-to-face at the student affairs unit of the schools. It is expected that the registration process will take place between August 25-30 this year.
