Sefa Çelik, who worked as a courier in the Sincan district of Ankara, lost his life after being stabbed in the heart with a screwdriver during a fight that broke out over a traffic yielding issue. The incident occurred yesterday evening on Ankara Street in the Atatürk neighborhood. A dispute arose between Sefa Çelik, who worked as a courier for a company, and suspects whose names are yet to be learned, over a 'yielding' issue in traffic. After being attacked by a large group, Çelik got into his vehicle and locked the doors. When the attackers damaged the car, Çelik got out of the vehicle. During the ensuing scuffle, one of the group stabbed Sefa Çelik in the heart with a screwdriver. As the attackers fled, Sefa Çelik took refuge in a nearby business. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. Çelik, who received first aid at the scene, passed away in the hospital where he was taken. Sefa Çelik's funeral was held in his hometown of Çorum. After the incident, Erdal Kibar, a tradesman who provided first aid to Sefa Çelik, said, "When I arrived, he was lying injured inside the store. When we lifted his shirt, I saw the wound on his chest. A friend and I tried to provide first aid. Later, the medical teams arrived. Some say he pulled a knife, but the kid was beaten up. That's why I think he got out with whatever he found in the car," he said.
