After a 17-year-old girl living in İzmir reported that her father was a drug addict and called for help, the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office intervened. A judicial control measure was decided for the detained father, prohibiting him from approaching the victims' home and coming within 100 meters of them.
A 17-year-old girl living in İzmir stated in a video she shared on social media that her father is a substance abuser and has been violent towards both her and her family. The girl explained that her father's hallucinations have been increasing and that the situation has reached dangerous levels, asking for necessary actions to be taken before anyone gets hurt.
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION FOLLOWING THE GIRL'S CRY FOR HELP
In response, the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office intervened in the matter. As part of the ongoing investigation, the girl and her family had meetings with experts in the judicial interview room of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The girl's statement was taken in the presence of a psychologist and a lawyer.
JUDICIAL CONTROL MEASURES AGAINST THE FATHER
Due to the statements taken from the girl and her mother, in which they did not file a complaint against the father, it was decided to impose a judicial control measure on E.A., prohibiting him from approaching the victims' home and coming within 100 meters of them. Additionally, a treatment measure was requested for E.A. to help him overcome his addiction. Necessary measures to protect the female and child victims of the crime were also reported to the İzmir Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
