The incident took place in the protection zone on Poland's border with Kaliningrad. Two German nationals, riding bicycles, entered the border strip marked with "no entry" signs, wanting to see the European Union's external border up close.
In the video, the tourists are seen advancing to the border fence, and border guards on duty in the area arrive and intervene.

According to a statement from the Polish Border Guard, the 63-year-old German tourist photographed the Kaliningrad region, which is part of Russia, despite it being prohibited. Authorities reminded that both unauthorized entry into the border zone and photographing the neighboring country's side are forbidden.
TOTAL FINE OF 280 EUROS
Border guards imposed a total fine of approximately 280 euros (15,000 Turkish lira) on the two German tourists for the violations they committed. It was reported that the tourists stated they had not noticed the warning signs and only wanted to see the European Union's external border up close.
Authorities emphasized that security rules are strictly enforced on the Poland-Russia border and urged visitors not to enter restricted areas and to pay attention to warning signs in the border region.
