Two trimarans, Galaxy and Galaxy Of Happiness, which are the only two in the world, along with an 80-meter super yacht, have arrived at the Antalya Free Zone for maintenance and repair.
Antalya Free Zone, one of the most important centers in the world for ultra-luxury yacht manufacturing, has seen significant demand in the maintenance and repair sector in recent years. Owners of luxury yachts from many countries prefer the city for maintenance and repair.
LIKE A SPACE SHUTTLE
Recently, a silver-colored trimaran named Galaxy and Galaxy Of Happiness, of which only two exist in the world and resembling a space shuttle, along with an 80-meter super yacht, arrived in Antalya Free Zone for maintenance and repair. The maintenance of two trimarans, custom-built and sold to the United Arab Emirates in 2016, measuring 53 meters in length and 17 meters in width, has been ongoing for a month in Antalya Free Zone. It was reported that each of the yachts, specially designed to remain stable in rough seas, weighing 299 gross tons and capable of reaching speeds of 30 knots, is valued at around 33 million dollars.
80-METER GIANT YACHT IN ANTALYA
Antalya Free Zone was also preferred for the maintenance and repair of an 80-meter ultra-luxury yacht owned by a businessman. The 80-meter super yacht, taken ashore for maintenance from the ASBAŞ dock, has 1 master suite, 1 VIP, and 4 guest cabins, accommodating a total of 12 people and 19 crew members. The yacht, with 4 engines producing 19,000 horsepower, can reach a speed of 30 knots (approximately 55 km/h) and features a 7-meter waterfall and glass-bottomed pool, a spa & wellness center, a specially designed limousine tender, folding platforms, a beach club, and a helicopter landing pad.
CENTER OF THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN
Antalya Free Zone, which ranks first in yacht manufacturing in Turkey and holds a significant position in the world, has transformed into one of the most important centers for the maintenance and repair of super yachts in recent years. Just like in super luxury yacht production, the region also operates for foreign clients in the maintenance and repair of super yachts, especially after completing infrastructure investments in 2021, becoming a preferred destination for dozens of vessels in the Mediterranean basin. Antalya Free Zone, which has become the most capable yacht production and maintenance center in the Eastern Mediterranean, has completed the maintenance and repair of a total of 243 super yachts to date, generating 150 million dollars in revenue. According to the latest data, maintenance and repair works are ongoing for a total of 34 super yachts, including two Galaxies, in the region where maintenance and repair activities are intensively continuing.
