70,505 FLIGHTS WILL BE AFFECTED

The strike, which takes place during the Easter week, a religious holiday for the Catholic world, is expected to continue until April 6 and is projected to affect a total of 70,505 flights.

In a joint statement made by three unions, CCCO, UGT, and ESO, it was reported that the decision to go on strike was made due to "the company's management not adhering to the salary commitments in the collective agreement and causing a loss of purchasing power for the employees." It is also expected that employees of another ground services company, Menzies, will join the strike from April 2 to 6.
