PENALTIES EXCHANGED
In the 44th minute, Arsenal completed the first half 1-0 ahead with a penalty goal from Viktor Gyökeres. The Spanish side started the second half quickly. In the 53rd minute, when the ball hit Ben White's hand inside the penalty area, Atletico Madrid players appealed for a penalty. After a VAR review, referee Danny Makkelie awarded a penalty. In the 56th minute, Julian Alvarez stepped up to the spot and sent the ball into the net, making the score 1-1.
