Safiye Kaymakçı, 25, who died in a traffic accident in the Kuyucak district of Aydın while going to clean her house in Denizli, where she was to go as a bride a week later, was buried in the Eğrikavak Neighborhood of Efeler. Thousands of people attended the funeral of the young woman, whose coffin was adorned with a tulle veil. Four people in the car were also injured in the accident.
The house where wedding preparations were being made was plunged into mourning. Safiye Kaymakçı, who was waiting to be seen off in a wedding dress, was sent on her final journey in a coffin from the house she would have left as a bride a week later.
CAR CROSSED MEDIAN AND ROLLED OVER
On the Aydın-Denizli highway near Kuyucak Gencelli Neighborhood yesterday morning, the car with license plate 09 ACD 749 went out of control after its driver lost steering control. The car crossed the median and rolled over.
In the accident, Safiye Kaymakçı, whose wedding was to be held a week later, lost her life. H.Ö., Y.Ö., A.T.Ö. and F.K. in the vehicle were injured.
FAREWELLS WERE SAID AT THE HOUSE SHE WOULD LEAVE AS A BRIDE
After the autopsy, this morning Kaymakçı’s body was brought to the house she would leave as a bride. The young girl’s coffin, for whom farewells were said here, was adorned with a tulle veil.
THOUSANDS SHED TEARS
In addition to the groom Şaban Kaymakçı, many citizens from surrounding villages and provinces attended the funeral held in the village. Safiye Kaymakçı was buried in prayers and tears.
Relatives tried to console mother Semra and father Sabahattin Demirtaş, who were preparing to see off their daughter in a wedding dress a week later.
