A police officer warning young people in a park in Kağıthane was assaulted during an argument that broke out. In the warning shots fired in pursuit of the fleeing suspects, barber Hakan B., who was on the sidewalk, was shot in the chest and seriously injured. While it was learned that the barber, who was taken to the hospital, remains in critical condition, the 3 suspects who attacked the police were quickly caught.
In Kağıthane, police officer H.Ç. warned a group of young people who were speaking loudly with swearing and smoking in the park across the school. During the ensuing argument, the young people punched the police officer in the nose and assaulted him. As the suspects fled, the police officer fired warning shots, and barber Hakan B. (48) on the sidewalk was seriously injured. Hakan B. was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Around 15:00 yesterday, in the park across the school in Hamidiye Neighborhood, school police officer H.Ç. warned a group that was speaking loudly with swearing and smoking in the park. The incident quickly turned into an argument, during which three suspects hit the police officer in the nose and assaulted him.
THE BULLETS HIT THE BARBER IN THE PARK
The police officer, who chased the fleeing suspects, fired warning shots and issued a 'Stop' command. At that moment, barber Hakan B., who was on the sidewalk, was shot in the chest. Some of the bullets from the gun also hit a light commercial vehicle parked nearby. Upon notification from bystanders, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After initial first aid at the scene, seriously injured Hakan B. was taken to Seyrantepe Hamidiye Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. It was learned that Hakan B.'s condition remains serious.
THE ATTACKERS ON THE POLICE OFFICER WERE CAUGHT
Police teams launched an operation to catch the three suspects who fled after the incident. Police quickly apprehended the suspects M.S.P. (16), S.K.G. (16), and H.B. (16). It was learned that the detained suspects had no prior criminal record with the police. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
