Due to diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Iranian delegation could not obtain visas from their own country, so they came to the US Embassy in Ankara, completed the necessary official procedures, and received their visas.

The Iran National Football Team, continuing their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly organized by the US, Canada, and Mexico, in Antalya, completed their training at the Belek Tourism Center, where they arrived two weeks ago. The Iranian national team, set to compete in Group alongside New Zealand, Belgium, and Egypt in the World Cup, departed from Antalya. Hours before the delegation arrived at Antalya Airport, three truckloads of equipment were unloaded at the airport for loading onto the plane. The delegation arrived at the airport at 4:30 PM and set off for Tijuana, Mexico, for the World Cup journey. Iran will face New Zealand in their first match of the tournament on June 15.
