In the Şeytandere area of Kırklareli, 7 suspects engaged in illegal excavation were caught red-handed in a police operation supported by drones. During the raid, which was recorded second by second from the air, excavation materials were seized, and of the suspects sent to the courthouse, 5 were arrested and sent to prison.
Five of the seven suspects caught red-handed during an illegal excavation to find treasure in Kırklareli, in an operation supported by a police drone, were arrested and sent to prison.
Teams from the Kırklareli Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch Directorate, as part of their efforts to protect historical and cultural assets across the city, detected an illegal excavation taking place in the Şeytandere area.

Under the coordination of the Kırklareli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the teams took action and conducted an operation at the identified address. The moments when the suspects were carrying out the illegal excavation were recorded second by second by police teams with a drone camera. In the raid, 7 suspects were caught red-handed during the excavation and detained. During the searches in the area, numerous work tools and technical equipment used in the illegal excavation were seized.
5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, the 7 suspects were referred to the courthouse and brought before a judge. The court ordered the arrest of 5 of the suspects, while releasing 2 suspects under judicial control.
