After the Finnish team FC Haka was relegated, three teenagers around the age of 15 set fire to the club's stadium. The stadium became completely unusable.
One of the established teams in the Finnish League, FC Haka, experienced an incredible event recently in the evening hours.
THEY WERE RELEGATED, THEIR STADIUM WAS SET ON FIRE
According to news in the Finnish press, FC Haka, which has won a total of 12 trophies including 9 Finnish championships since its establishment in 1934, has been relegated from the top league in Finland, Veikkausliiga, to the second league. The report stated that a fire broke out at the stadium around 8:00 PM long after the end of the leagues.
THE 3 CHILDREN AGED 15 WHO STARTED THE FIRE
While the incident was suspected to be arson, the reality turned out to be quite different. The Finnish police revealed the identities of the individuals who started the fire and stated that the ones who set the stadium on fire were three children aged 15. It was reported that the three children confessed during interrogation that they acted out of anger towards their relegated team. It was noted that the individuals who started the fire would not face punishment due to their young age.
'IT REALLY UPSET US'
FC Haka President Marko Laaksonen stated, "The damage has not yet been assessed, but it will be significant," and added, "The fire at the Factory Field really upset us. The field is a beloved place for the people of Koski, and the city is determined to take care of the venue. Our task now is to determine what needs to be done to make the field suitable for matches again."
