Upon reports of gunfire in Kütahya, police determined the sound came from a modified car. The driver, M.Ö., was found to be intoxicated and was fined a total of 46 thousand lira, while the vehicle was impounded. Legal proceedings were initiated against six individuals for "disturbing public order."
The sound coming from across the Kütahya Police Department prompted police action. After a radio announcement that shots were fired, teams dispatched to the area encountered 6 individuals drinking alcohol in front of a tile workshop on Talat Çini Street in Osmangazi District.
NOT A GUN, BUT A MODIFIED EXHAUST SOUND
During the inspection in the area, police teams seized a blank firing gun and a machete from the suspects' modified vehicle with license plate 16 AIK 303. The sound of the gunfire was determined to originate from a special device attached to the vehicle's exhaust system.
46 THOUSAND LIRA FINE ISSUED
An administrative fine of 46 thousand lira was imposed on the driver M.Ö. for drunk driving and excessive exhaust, and legal action was taken for violation of Law No. 6136. After traffic officers completed their procedures, the car was impounded and towed to a parking lot.
6 PEOPLE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Additionally, M.Ö., L.İ.Ç., E.Ç., M.Ç., Ö.F.U., and E.D., who were taken to the Şehit Mehmet Kartal Police Station for processing, also faced charges for 'Disturbing public peace.'
