POLICE SURVEILLED 2 INDIVIDUALS DUE TO SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES
The incident occurred on July 1 at around 19:30 in Ergenekon Neighborhood, Pangaltı area. Teams from the Security Teams Directorate B Region Team Command began surveillance on H.Ö. and A.K., who were walking with their faces covered due to suspicious behavior. After monitoring the two suspects for a while, police observed them stealing a mobile phone from a person they were following using pickpocketing methods and intervened. Noticing the police, the two suspects started running away. During the escape, they dropped the stolen phone, and after a brief chase, they were caught. It was reported that the suspects resisted when being put into the police vehicle, and their capture was recorded by security cameras.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
During General Information Collection (GBT) and National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP) queries at the police station, it was determined that H.Ö. had 470 criminal records and A.K. had 74. Additionally, it was found that A.K. was wanted for questioning regarding the crime of 'theft of property kept inside a building'. After processing at the police station, H.Ö. and A.K. were referred to the courthouse and released by the court under judicial control.
