In inspections conducted in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay, 2 tons of expired chocolate, chips, and confectionery were destroyed by incineration.
In the Reyhanlı district of Hatay, teams from the Municipal Police Department and the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry conducted inspections in local markets to protect public health and food safety.
2 TONS OF EXPIRED PRODUCTS DESTROYED
During the inspections, it was determined that a total of 2 tons of chips, candies, and chocolates awaiting sale had passed their expiration dates. The products loaded onto trucks by the teams were destroyed by being set on fire in excavated pits.
"INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE UNINTERRUPTED"
Reyhanlı Municipality Police Chief Doğan Batıray stated that they would not allow any products that threaten the health of citizens, and said that under the instructions of Mayor Ahmet Salman Yumuşak, they would continue inspections without interruption to ensure a safe food environment in Reyhanlı.
