After the meteorological storm warning, the expected weather conditions in Bodrum became effective in the morning hours. Due to the strong winds, a motor yacht and a catamaran-type sailing boat anchored in Gümbet Bay were dragged to the shore. To prevent further damage, the boats were tied to the land for stabilization.
BOATS COLLIDED WITH EACH OTHER
As the intensity of the storm increased, another motor yacht and a sailing boat broke free from their anchors and were dragged towards the shore. The boats approaching the anchored vessels caused a brief panic. While the out-of-control sea vehicles hit the land, some boats collided with each other.
SAILORS MOBILIZED TO PREVENT DAMAGE
The intense efforts of the sailors to prevent their boats from suffering further damage were recorded by mobile phone cameras. It was also observed that another motor yacht, approximately 20 meters long, anchored in the bay had run aground 50 meters offshore.
