A decision for urgent expropriation has been made for certain properties for energy projects to be carried out in different regions of Turkey. It was published in the Official Gazette that permission has been granted for oil exploration on vast lands in the Edirne and Kırklareli regions for an Azerbaijani company established in Turkey.

According to the Presidential Decision, it was decided that the ownership of electricity distribution places in some properties located in Çankırı, Gaziantep, Hatay, and Konya would be urgently expropriated by Turkey Electricity Distribution Inc. (TEDAŞ) for the construction of energy transmission lines, in order to establish the easement rights of the line safety zones.

GOT OIL EXPLORATION RIGHTS FOR 5 YEARS

On the other hand, Euroasia Investment Construction Industry and Trade Inc. was granted an oil exploration license for two fields.

The Decision Regarding Oil Rights of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources was published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, it was decided to grant oil exploration licenses for a total area of 79,121 hectares in Edirne and Kırklareli for a period of five years.
