The countdown has begun for the TOKİ lottery draw in Istanbul. The draw, which will make 100,000 people homeowners, will start today at 14:00 and will continue for 3 days. President Erdoğan is also expected to attend the draw.
The drawing of lots for the "Housing Project of the Century," implemented by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), begins today at 14:00 in Istanbul. The results of the first phase of the 500,000 social housing project will be determined over a three-day draw.
MOST APPLICATIONS CAME FROM ISTANBUL
The project, which aims to make low-income citizens homeowners, received the highest number of applications from Istanbul. A total of 1,235,169 people applied in the city. The monthly net household income limit for Istanbul was set at 145,000 lira, while in other provinces, this figure was applied as 127,000 lira.
PAYMENT TERMS AND HOUSING TYPES
It was announced that the houses to be built in Istanbul will be of 1+1 and 2+1 types. TOKİ will offer the houses for sale with a 10% down payment, a 240-month maturity, and installments starting from 7,313 lira. Installment amounts will be updated every six months based on the civil servant salary increase rate.
The payment plan for the houses in the project was also announced. According to this;
- 55-square-meter 1+1 apartments will be sold with a 195,000 lira down payment and 7,313 lira installments,
- 65-square-meter 2+1 houses with a 245,000 lira down payment and 9,188 lira installments,
- 80-square-meter 2+1 apartments with a 295,000 lira down payment and 11,063 lira installments.
ERDOĞAN IS EXPECTED TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY
The draw ceremony is being held at the Atatürk Airport National Garden. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Murat Kurum are expected to attend the ceremony.
THE DRAW WILL LAST 3 DAYS
The draw will start today at 14:00 and continue for three days. The process will be completed on April 27, and the rightful owners of a total of 100,000 houses will be determined. Citizens can follow the draw live on TOKİ's YouTube channel.
