In an operation targeting a gang found to have organized prostitution in 4 provinces based in Istanbul, 7 of the 14 suspects detained were arrested. During the operation, 52 women who were determined to have been forced into prostitution by the gang were rescued. It was found that the suspects had obtained approximately 15 million liras in illegal earnings through their account transactions in the last year.

Teams from the Morality Bureau of the Istanbul Police Department's Public Order Branch launched an investigation following reports that individuals, including foreign women, were being sent to homes and hotels through groups on mobile applications.
