The Head of Turkey Petroleum Exploration Department, Mehmet Salih Bülent Sadioğlu, was found dead in his hotel room. Sadioğlu's body was sent to Hakkari State Hospital morgue for autopsy.
SUSPICION AROSE WHEN HE DIDN'T COME DOWN FOR BREAKFAST
Sadioğlu, 53, who was staying at a hotel on İpekyolu Street in Yüksekova for work, was noticed by his friends when he didn't come down for breakfast. When they couldn't reach him, his friends asked for help from the hotel staff.
With the help of the hotel staff, his friends entered the room and found Sadioğlu motionless on the floor. Health and police teams were dispatched to the hotel upon notification. The examination conducted by the health team determined that Sadioğlu had passed away.
After the examination, Sadioğlu's body was sent to Hakkari State Hospital morgue for autopsy upon the instruction of the prosecutor's office. It was stated that Bülent Sadioğlu and his friends checked into the hotel yesterday.
In a statement on his Twitter account, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar expressed his deep sorrow for the death of Mehmet Salih Bülent Sadioğlu, the Head of Turkey Petroleum Exploration Department, due to a heart attack. He extended his condolences to his colleagues and wished patience to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.
