WHO IS AYŞE KULİN?

She graduated from the Literature Department of the American Girls' College in Arnavutköy. She worked as a reporter for Cumhuriyet, Güneş, and Dünya newspapers, and as a writer and editor for various magazines. For many years, she worked as a public relations specialist, stage producer in television, advertising, and film, art director, and screenwriter.

Her first short story book, "Güneşe Dön Yüzünü," published in 1984, included the story "Gülizar," which was adapted into a film titled "Kırık Bebek" and was awarded the Ministry of Culture Prize. In 1989, she won the Best Art Director Award from the Theater and Television Writers Association for her work in the series "Ayaşlı ile Kiracıları." Her story "Foto Sabah Resimleri" won the Haldun Taner Short Story Award in 1996, and the book named after this story won the Sait Faik Story Award in 1997.

She has three biographies titled "Bir Tatlı Huzur," "Adı: Aylin," and "Füreya," which were selected as the best novels in surveys conducted by various institutions and Communication Faculties, as well as three documentary-style novels based on real events titled "Sevdalinka," "Köprü," and "Nefes Nefese," a fictional novel titled "Gece Sesleri," and three short story books titled "Güneşe Dön Yüzünü," "Foto Sabah Resimleri," and "Geniş Zamanlar," a memoir titled "İçimde Kızıl Bir Gül Gibi," and a poetry book titled "Babama." In 2004, she donated the royalties from her work "Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği" and "Kardelenler" to the project "Contemporary Girls of Contemporary Turkey."
