In the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar, a car traveling towards the Çay direction rear-ended a truck in front of it. The car, dragged approximately 100 meters behind the truck due to the force of the collision, resulted in the death of the driver, 36-year-old Murat Kırbaş, at the scene. While Kırbaş's lifeless body, trapped in the vehicle, was removed by the efforts of fire brigade teams, an investigation was launched into the accident.
A horrific traffic accident in Afyonkarahisar resulted in the death of one person. On the Bolvadin-Çay highway, a car rear-ended a truck traveling ahead of it and was dragged about 100 meters; the driver, Murat Kırbaş, lost his life.
CAR REAR-ENDED THE TRUCK
The accident occurred on the Bolvadin-Çay highway in the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar. According to the information obtained, while the truck with license plate 42 AGL 760, driven by A.K., was proceeding towards the Çay direction, the car with license plate 34 DF 5278, driven by Murat Kırbaş (36), which was coming from behind in the same lane, rear-ended the truck for an unknown reason. Following the collision, the car began to be dragged behind the truck.
DRAGGED 100 METERS BEHIND THE TRUCK
The most striking detail revealing the magnitude of the accident was the distance the car traveled after the collision. The car was able to stop only after being dragged about 100 meters behind the truck. Other drivers who witnessed the accident reported the situation to the authorities.
Following the report, health and gendarmerie teams, as well as Bolvadin Municipality fire brigade teams, were dispatched to the region. When the teams arrived at the scene, it was determined that the car driver, Murat Kırbaş, was trapped inside the vehicle.
In the examination conducted by the health teams, it was determined that 36-year-old Murat Kırbaş had died at the scene. The fire brigade teams began work to remove Kırbaş's lifeless body from the vehicle. After the teams' intense efforts, the lifeless body of the driver trapped in the vehicle was removed from where it was found. After the examinations at the scene were completed, Kırbaş's body was taken to the Bolvadin State Hospital morgue.
