In Tokat, a 21-year-old young man who was taken into treatment for suspected Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) after a tick bite died at the hospital he was transferred to after his condition worsened. At the funeral of the young man, who was laid to rest in Zile, attention was drawn to the fact that the body was not removed from the vehicle due to the risk of disease transmission.

S.G, who was involved in livestock farming, applied to the hospital about 10 days ago after falling ill. During the checks, a tick was found attached to his body, and he was taken under treatment with suspicion of CCHF.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS
As his condition worsened, the young man was referred to Sivas Cumhuriyet University Hospital. Despite all interventions by doctors in the intensive care unit, he could not be saved and passed away. S.G's body was brought to Evrenköy, a village in the Zile district of his hometown Tokat.
THEY DID NOT TAKE THE BODY OUT OF THE VEHICLE
After the funeral prayer held in the village, the young man was laid to rest in the village cemetery. As part of the precautions taken during the funeral ceremony, it was noteworthy that the body was not removed from the funeral vehicle.
