While a farewell prayer was being held at Konya Airport for those setting out to perform the Umrah pilgrimage, a citizen named Abdullah Özkan suddenly fell ill and passed away in his ihram.
A deep sorrow was felt in the Umrah group that was to set off from Konya to the holy lands. Abdullah Özkan, who had completed all the necessary preparations for the Umrah rite and put on his ihram, suddenly fell ill at Konya Airport while prayers were being offered before the journey. HE FELL ILL DURING THE FAREWELL PRAYER IN HIS IHRAM
According to the information obtained, Özkan, who came to the airport with the Umrah pilgrims as the Beyşehir supervisor, was preparing to set out toward the Beytullah. While the group was being seen off with prayers, Özkan became ill while praying in his ihram and, despite the interventions made, could not be saved and lost his life. The painful loss left his family, relatives, and the tourism community in mourning.
HIS FUNERAL WILL BE BURIED IN BEYŞEHİR
Following the painful incident, a condolence message was published by Nuri Doğan Turizm. It was announced that the funeral of the deceased Abdullah Özkan will be buried in Beyşehir Cemetery after the Friday prayer to be performed at Beyşehir Çarşı Mosque.
