Explaining the reason he did not attend matches after his presidency, Aziz Yıldırım said, "I did not go to matches to avoid disturbing the management. The team is doing badly, and if I were to sit in the stands, wave if applauded, people would get excited. To avoid causing misunderstandings, I did not go to matches for 8 years. I only went to a basketball match. The reason I did not go was to not harm them."
