Four bodies found in a burned vehicle near Cosenza, Italy, were identified as Pakistani agricultural migrant workers, and two Pakistani nationals have been detained on charges of 'aggravated multiple premeditated murder' in connection with the incident. Security cameras showed the suspects prevented the occupants from escaping the vehicle.

Four people, whose bodies were found yesterday in a burnt vehicle near the city of Cosenza in southern Italy, are reported to be migrant agricultural workers, and two suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

FOUR BODIES RECOVERED FROM BURNING VEHICLE

According to reports in the national press, the bodies of four people were recovered from a vehicle found burnt while parked at a gas station on highway 106 near Amendolara, in the province of Cosenza, yesterday.

Initial investigations indicated that the four were Pakistani migrant agricultural workers and that the incident was not accidental, as reflected in the press.

FOOTAGE PROVES MURDER

Based on security camera footage examined at the scene, two suspects identified as having set the vehicle on fire were tracked down and taken into custody yesterday evening. It was stated that those detained are also Pakistani citizens.

Castrovillari Prosecutor Alessandro D'Alessio is reported to be conducting an investigation against these individuals under charges of "aggravated willful multiple murder."

THEY PREVENTED ESCAPE FROM THE VEHICLE

Security camera footage of the incident, reflected in the press, also showed the two individuals who set the vehicle on fire preventing those inside from getting out. Meanwhile, a migrant who survived the incident, speaking to the "TGR Calabria" channel, stated that he managed to escape at the last moment by breaking a window and said that the two arrested individuals had threatened them to work more and did not make payments.
