A 62-year-old man, who was having the rear stop light of his truck repaired in the Pozantı district of Adana, lost his life after being crushed between two vehicles when another truck reversing hit him.
CRUSHED BETWEEN TWO TRUCKS
The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the auto industrial zone in the Pozantı district. According to information obtained, 62-year-old Aykut Turan, who was having the rear stop light of the truck with license plate 41 FF 975 repaired by an electrician, was crushed between the two trucks after being hit by the truck with license plate 33 FH 767 coming from behind.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Turan, who was seriously injured by the impact, lost his life at the scene. It was learned that the electrician repairing the vehicle's stop light escaped the accident at the last moment.
After the accident, 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene upon reports from those around. In the examination by health teams, it was determined that Aykut Turan had died.
TRUCK DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
The driver of the truck with license plate 33 FH 767 that caused the accident, Mehmet E., was taken into custody by police teams and taken to the Pozantı District Police Department to give his statement.
An investigation has been initiated into the accident.
