Changes made by President Donald Trump in the Oval Office during his second term drew attention. The office inherited from former President Biden was rearranged according to Trump's taste. Following the handover ceremony that took place on Monday, the changes in the office were quickly completed. The blue carpet from the Biden era was removed, and the light-colored carpet used during Trump's first term was installed. Even the historic Resolute Desk had to be partially dismantled for this change. One of the most notable details in the office was the return of Trump's famous 'Diet Cola button.' This button is a special system that Trump used to order drinks. The portraits adorning the walls were also carefully selected. On the mantelpiece, there is a portrait of George Washington, flanked by images of Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. A portrait of Andrew Jackson, one of Trump's favorite former presidents, was also hung in a prominent position. The bust of Winston Churchill, which was removed during the Biden era, was placed back in its original spot. The bust of Martin Luther King Jr. remained in place. The bust of labor leader Cesar Chavez, added by Biden, and the portrait of Franklin Roosevelt were removed. The office also features family photos of Trump, silver eagle figures on the mantel, and five flags representing each military branch. Trump emphasized the importance of this office with his words, "Wars begin and end here. Everything starts and ends in the Oval Office."
