US President Donald Trump has once again denied claims that his much-discussed hair is a wig. Citing a rally he held in strong winds as an example, Trump said, 'I don't wear a wig,' insisting that his hair is real.
The long-standing debate about whether US President Donald Trump's hair is real has been reignited by his latest remarks.
"I DON'T WEAR A WIG"
In a speech at a dinner held at the White House on September 2, Trump addressed claims that his hair is a wig.
Recalling a rally held in Ohio as part of the 2024 presidential election campaign, Trump argued that the strong wind that day was proof that his hair is real.
Trump said, "I went to the podium, and the wind was so strong... I don't wear a wig. They realized that night that I don't wear a wig because they said if you wore a wig, it wouldn't stay on your head for long."
HIS HAIR HAS BEEN DEBATED FOR YEARS
Trump's hair has long been a target for his political rivals and critics. Comedian Rosie O'Donnell claimed in August that Trump's hair is not real and that he uses a wig.
The controversy dates back even before Trump's first presidency. Trump also responded to similar claims at a campaign rally held in 2015.
After saying, "I don't wear a wig, this is my hair, I swear," Trump pulled his hair and said, "This is getting out of hand."
IMAGES FROM LAS VEGAS DREW ATTENTION
Trump's hair was also discussed after his speech on the economy in Las Vegas on August 5. After his hair appeared fuller compared to previous images, journalist Aaron Rupar commented, "Is Trump wearing a wig, what's going on here?"
At the Conservative Political Action Conference held in Maryland in 2018, Trump made a humorous statement about his thinning hair.
Saying, "I'm doing my best to hide that bald spot. I work hard at it," Trump directly addressed the debates about his hair.
IT WAS REVEALED HE USED MEDICATION FOR HAIR LOSS
Harold Bornstein, who served as Trump's personal physician for many years, also said in a 2017 statement that Trump takes four different medications daily. Among the medications Bornstein disclosed was finasteride, which is used to treat male pattern hair loss.
