The plan by U.S. President Donald Trump for the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza was positively received among Israeli politicians, but military experts found it dangerous and unrealistic. Former Israeli Military Intelligence Chief Yadlin emphasized that the chances of success for the plan are low.

While a large portion of Israeli politicians welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to forcibly displace Palestinians in Gaza, military experts found the proposal unrealistic.

"TRUMP IS SELLING ILLUSIONS TO ISRAEL"

According to a report by the Maariv newspaper in Israel, former head of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate (AMAN) Amos Yadlin stated that President Trump is selling illusions. Yadlin noted that Trump sold an illusion to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach an agreement in the second phase of negotiations for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange in Gaza, and that he also convinced Israel's far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich in this way.

"DANGEROUS AND UNREALISTIC"

Yadlin commented on Trump's proposal, saying, "A very nice plan has been presented here for Israelis, I hope it comes true," but assessed that the chances of success are "very weak." Haaretz newspaper military analyst Amos Harel described Trump's plan to displace Palestinians in Gaza as "dangerous and unrealistic."

"ISRAELI PRISONERS WILL HAVE TO PAY A PRICE"

Harel shared the thought that Trump's stance against Hamas would eliminate the reason for the movement to maintain a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza, noting that other Israeli prisoners in Gaza would have to pay a price. Harel added that President Trump enjoys presenting himself as someone who produces "disruptive radical solutions" and likes to make surprises, but stated that this proposal is not realistic.

"WILL HARM PEACE"

On the other hand, according to Channel 13 news, Haham Gilad Kariv, a Member of Parliament from the opposition Labor Party in Israel, said that the idea of sending more than 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza to Egypt and Jordan would threaten the politics of those countries, which would harm the peace between Israel and them.

TRUMP'S PLAN TO TAKE OVER GAZA AND FORCEFULLY DISPLACE PALESTINIANS

President Trump had proposed the idea of exiling Palestinians in Gaza to Arab countries, primarily Jordan and Egypt. Trump called for these countries to accept more Palestinians "to clean up" Gaza and for these individuals to be "settled in homes to be built in different places," advocating for the reconstruction of the region after displacing Palestinians from their lands.

Trump stated that he envisions the U.S. taking over the Gaza Strip and that the region would become an "international" place where people from different parts of the world live. Politicians from the center to the far-right in Israel expressed their satisfaction with Trump's plan and stated their support for it.
