HOW DID SYRIA BECOME CHAOTIC?

At least 11 security personnel were killed in an attack carried out by elements of the fallen Assad regime in the Jableh district of Latakia on March 6.

Following the attack, the Syrian army deployed reinforcements consisting of hundreds of vehicles, including heavy weapons such as tanks, armored personnel carriers, and multiple rocket launchers, to the provinces of Latakia and Tartus, and launched an operation to capture elements of the fallen regime in the region.

During the operations, at least 50 security personnel were killed, while international media and social media reported that some armed groups targeted many civilians in the area.

WARNING FROM SHARA

Syrian President Ahmed Shara stated that the remnants of the fallen regime were trying to test themselves in the attack on March 6, sending a message of unity and solidarity, expressing their desire to rebuild the country and stating that they had no intention of shedding blood.

After congratulating the security forces in the region for their quick interventions and performance against the remnants of the fallen regime, Shara noted:

"I emphasize that no one should allow the security forces to act excessively or disproportionately, and I say that they must work to prevent this. What separates us from our enemies is our commitment to our principles. The moment we abandon our morals, we descend to the same level as our enemies. The remnants of the fallen regime are pursuing a provocation; this provocation aims to create a situation that will benefit them by leading to excesses."
