US President Donald Trump responded to a question about whether Somali-born Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who is under investigation, would be deported by saying, "Yes, maybe, she could even go to prison." Accusing Omar of fraud, Trump also targeted Somalia, using the words, "A complete shithole. It's not even a country."

US President Donald Trump assessed the agenda after the anti-corruption meeting he held in the Oval Office.

Trump, regarding Somali-born Democratic House of Representatives member Ilhan Omar, who is the subject of an ongoing investigation, gave the following answer to the question, "It is said that Ilhan Omar will be deported due to a problem with her age; will she be deported?": "Yes, maybe, and she could even go to prison. They keep talking about deportation. No, I think she could even go to prison. That is just my opinion."

“SOMALIA IS A COMPLETE SHITHOLE”

The US President, arguing that Omar is a "fraud," stated that people come from Somalia and "tell them how the country should be governed" in the US, and that he does not like this.

While Trump was using those remarks, when he mentioned Somalia, he said, "A complete shithole. It's not even a country."

The US President continued, "She says, 'I have constitutional rights,' whereas if you ask, she hasn't even heard the word constitution."

OMAR'S HOME SEARCHED BY DHS

Omar's home in the capital, Washington, was searched by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on October 12 as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

Unnamed sources stated that the investigation concerned Omar's immigration paperwork.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), one of the umbrella organizations of the Muslim community in the US, also condemned the raid on Omar's home by the Department of Homeland Security and described it as an "act of political persecution."

Ilhan Omar's Office also reacted to the search of Omar's home, citing "abuse of power."

SHE WAS ELECTED TO CONGRESS IN 2018

Somali-origin Ilhan Omar, a 44-year-old Democratic member of the House of Representatives from the state of Minnesota, was first elected to Congress in 2018.

Vice President JD Vance stated that he would investigate Omar, known for her fierce opposition to US President Donald Trump, over fraud allegations in her immigration procedures, and Omar denied these allegations.
