U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the ongoing peace talks aimed at ending the four-year war in Ukraine are going well, expressing his belief that there is a high chance of reaching an agreement. Trump said, "Ukraine has some tough little problems. We have tough problems too, but I think Russia wants this (war) to end."

US President Donald Trump answered questions from reporters on the plane while returning from his weekend holiday in Florida. Stating that the peace plan talks held yesterday in Florida between US and Ukrainian delegations went well, Trump said, "Ukraine has some tough little problems. We have tough problems too, but I think Russia wants this (war) to end."

Trump noted that 27,000 people have died in the Ukraine war last month and that they are trying to stop these deaths, adding, "I think we have a high chance of reaching an agreement" regarding the peace plan.

"I HOPE THE WAR ENDS"

Informing that Middle East Special Representative Steve Witkoff will go to Moscow this week, Trump, in response to a question about whether he would give Russia a deadline for a peace agreement, said, "I have a deadline until the war is over, and I hope the war ends."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The US and Ukrainian delegations met yesterday in Florida to discuss the US peace plan, chaired by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov. Rubio and Umerov stated that they had a very useful and productive meeting. The US and Ukrainian delegations had previously met on November 23 in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss the 28-point peace plan presented by US President Donald Trump.

"WE DO NOT SEE VENEZUELA AS A FRIENDLY COUNTRY"

In response to questions about why Venezuela's airspace was closed, Trump said, "We do not see Venezuela as a very friendly country. They are sending millions of people to our country from prisons and gangs." When asked if the closure of Venezuela's airspace meant that an airstrike would happen soon, Trump replied, "Don't read anything into that."

CONFIRMED MEETING WITH MADURO

Trump also confirmed reports first published by the New York Times that he had a phone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, but stated that he would not provide details or make any comments on the matter. Regarding discussions that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered that those who survived attacks on boats allegedly involved in drug trafficking should not be left alive, Trump claimed he had no knowledge of this. Trump said, "Pete said that such a thing did not happen, I trust him. But no, I wouldn't want a second attack order, we will investigate this."

"EACH BOAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF 25,000 AMERICANS"

Regarding the US attacks on boats, Trump stated that he has "very little concern," adding, "You can see the drugs on the boats, and each boat is responsible for the deaths of 25,000 Americans." The Washington Post, based in the US, reported on November 28 details of a military attack that resulted in the deaths of 11 people found on a boat suspected of drug trafficking off the coast of Trinidad in the Caribbean.

The report claimed that Admiral Frank Bradley ordered a second attack to kill the two survivors after the first attack to carry out Hegseth's order. A source speaking on condition of anonymity told the newspaper that Hegseth had ordered "everyone on the boat to be killed." Hegseth, however, described the newspaper's report as "provocative and sensationalist journalism" in a post on the social media platform of US-based Company X.
